The Brookwood is the quietest apartment complex I have ever lived in. The location is amazing and worth every penny. In my experience the office & maintenance staffs at Brookwood have always been prompt to respond to maintenance & other questions. The Brookwood has 3 shopping centers within 1.3 miles, which is about a 24-minute walk.

Because I have been so pleased with my experience, I am now entering my sixth year as a resident. Good location and amenities like the pools and workout area. Although the work out area is not well kept and lots of machines are breaking.

I had a water leak from the A/C unit, called emergency maintenance, and nobody ever answered. I stayed up all night replacing the giant bowl of water to prevent any water damage. It took three days for someone to fix a WATER LEAK. The windows and doors are not properly sealed, and you can see outside light coming out of all siding. This complex is overpriced and has the lowest quality apartment in the area, and I could go on forever about my terrible experience here. I could not get out of this place soon enough. Our community boasts vacation-inspired amenities such as two salt-water swimming pools, a 24-hour fitness center, resident clubroom with Apple iLounge and Starbucks coffee bar.
The Brookwood Apartment Homes are centrally located to downtown while still being a short drive to 280. As a student at UAB, I can generally get to class in less than 10 minutes in traffic. The Brookwood is near Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International, located 7.9 miles or 12 minutes away.
We currently have a leaking ceiling that hasn’t been fixed in 10 days (you read that right. 10!) and had mold on the walls that they just painted over. If you need extra money to afford to live somewhere else Venmo request me I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to live here. An overall excellent experience for living in an apartment complex. I could go on and on about how the staff never answers the phone or how valet trash never picks up your garbage and yet they still charge you for it. We were given only 24 hours' notice that our original apartment would not be available on time. This was EXTREMELY frustrating because it caused a mess with all utilities companies, the movers, and our family. We were told it would not be ready for at least 2 more weeks. Because we had already agreed to a move-out date with another mgmt. Company, we were between a rock and a hard place.
